Gore's Tutoring Dubai offers Chinese tutoring courses at various centers across Dubai. The teachers are Native Female qualified tutors with more than 10 years of teaching experience.

The Mandarin / Chinese courses that we offer are:
- Beginner Chinese
- HSK Course for Teens (Only for Business Managementn, Korean and Singaporean)
- Business Chinese
- Conversational Chinese (For Chinese learners at intermediate level and above and Cantonese speakers)
- Mother tongue Chinese

Beginner Chinese / Mandarin is divided into 2 levels: Beginner Chinese I and Beginner Chinese II:
Beginner Chinese I
Beginner Chinese I course is designed for students who have very limited to no background in the Chinese language, and will cover basic language skills in speaking, reading, writing, and listening.
Objectives
After completing Beginner Chinese I, you are expected to master:
• The pinyin Romanization system
• Simple Chinese grammar and sentence structures
• Basic verbal communication in a variety of settings
• The principal rules behind writing Chinese characters
• A fundamental understanding of Chinese customs and traditions In addition, you should be able to:
• Successfully formulate sentences in Mandarin Chinese
• Hold basic conversations with Chinese speakers
• Comprehend spoken passages in accordance with beginner Chinese vocabulary
• Read and understand written passages in accordance with beginner Chinese vocabulary
• Write simple Chinese characters
• Demonstrate a tangible appreciation for Chinese culture.

Beginner Chinese II

Beginner Chinese II is designed for students who are able to recognize approximately 350-400 Chinese characters, as well as those who have completed one academic semester of Mandarin Chinese. The course is focused on 20 hours per week of in-class reading, writing, spoken and listening coursework through a combination of the small group and one- on-one intensive Mandarin classes.

Objectives

After completing Beginner Chinese II, you are expected to master:
• 400 additional Chinese characters
• Basic Chinese grammar and sentence structures
• Appropriate articulation of ideas
• Daily conversations and “survival” Chinese
• A deeper understanding of Chinese customs and traditions In addition, you should be able to:
• Improve your basic conversational skills in Mandarin
• Form a general understanding of simplified v. traditional characters
• Hold conversations about daily life with ease
• Comprehend spoken passages delivered at a natural, or close-to-natural, speed
• Read and understand written passages in accordance with appropriate vocabulary
• Demonstrate a formidable appreciation for Chinese culture

HSK Course for Teens

HSK stands for (hàn yǔ shuí píng kǎo shì) which translates into “Chinese Proficiency Test” or “Chinese Standard Exam.” It is China's only standardized test for Chinese
language proficiency for non-native speakers. The HSK test consists of a written exam and an oral exam, which are taken separately. The test is comprised of three sections: Reading, Writing, and Listening. Each section is worth 100 points. There is no Writing section for HSK levels 1 and 2, therefore those have a maximum of 200 points.

HSK 1: Designed for learners who can understand and use some simple Chinese characters and sentences to communicate, and prepares them for continuing their Chinese studies. In HSK 1 all characters are provided along with Pinyin. Test takers are required to recognize up to 150 Chinese words.
HSK 2: Designed for learners who can use Chinese in a simple and direct manner, applying it in a basic fashion to their daily lives. In HSK 2 all characters are provided along with Pinyin. Test takers are required to recognize up to 300 words.

HSK 3: Designed for learners who can use Chinese to serve the demands of their personal lives, studies and work, and are capable of completing most of the communicative tasks they experience during their Chinese tour. Test takers are required to recognize up to 600 words.

HSK 4: Designed for learners who can discuss a relatively wide range of topics in Chinese and are capable of communicating with Chinese speakers at a high standard. Test takers are required to recognize up to 1200 words.

HSK 5: Designed for learners who can read Chinese newspapers and magazines, watch Chinese films and are capable of writing and delivering a lengthy speech in Chinese. Test takers are required to recognize up to 2500 words.

HSK 6: Designed for learners who can easily understand any information communicated in Chinese and are capable of smoothly expressing themselves in written or oral form. Test takers are required to recognize up to 5000 words.

Conversational Chinese

(For Chinese learners at intermediate level and above and Cantonese speakers)

Dubai is a special place. Everyone speaks English, but when Chinese people are together, they speak Mandarin to each other. If you are working for a Chinese company or be sent out on Business trip to China a lot, you can’t help but feel awkward around Chinese colleagues and friends at times. And while Chinese tend to be really considerate and will speak English whenever you’re part of the conversation, you’d wish they didn’t to always need make all that effort for you. It makes you feel like an outsider. Even if you know how to say things in Chinese, it can be tricky to know what to say. A straight translation from English to Mandarin is often not going to be very helpful without understanding the cultural context. That is why our Chinese conversation course adds context whenever a topic is covered. Our Chinese conversation course brings you what you need to start speaking Chinese as soon as humanly possible.

Objectives:
1) to improve their ability to communicate in Chinese with common topics in daily life and work;
2) to help them internalize basic knowledge of Putonghua sounds, grammar and vocabulary through interaction between teachers and learners;
3) to reach an ease of communicating with correct and appropriate Putonghua through speaking practice.

Mother Tongue Chinese

The class will be set in the group, 10-15 people in a class.

The course is designed for those Chinese heritage students in Dubai, English has dominance in school, and their mother tongue Chinese language will probably stay at the beginning level. Because most of Chinese parents are seldom teach their children at home. So it will be very hard for their children to improve their Chinese level onto a more complex, even academic tier. Most Chinese parents think their children should learn Chinese because they are of Chinese descent and want them to stay rooted to the Chinese heritage. This course is to give Chinese children some foundation in their mother tongue and to broaden their limited exposure.

Level 1 Students listen, speak, read and write about a number of topics including describing their friends and their likes and dislikes, learning about different cultures and film and clothes. The focus is on encouraging students to take part in achievable speaking and writing tasks to develop their fluency.

Level 2 Students listen, speak, read and write about a number of topics including describing their ideal school, writing an email and conducting a survey on food. The focus is on building on students spoken and written fluency through more challenging tasks.

Level 3 Students listen, speak, read and write about a number of topics including fashion, the environment and different cultures. The focus is on expanding students confidence in their written and spoken fluency.
